A downloadable game for Windows

Welcome to my submission for the 2024 GMTK Game Jam : Eight Cube

In this game, you want to expand your cube by building factories and unlocking new stuff along the way.

The music also changes depending on your cube size so listen closely !

Controls (because it's currently unclear ) :

Anytime in the game :

After reaching 10 cubes, you can build your first factory
- Hover anywhere above the ground (not too close to the cube) and use Left click to build.

- At anytime, you can delete a factory by holding right click for 3 seconds on a factory. You will get 90% of its cost back.

currently a small bug makes it so it only work on the front part of the factory

After reaching 512 cubes, you unlock a new tier of factory.

- Use A and D to cycle between unlocked tiers.

- You can pan the view by holding left click and moving the mouse,

for some reason, your cursor is locked to the screen size since the packaging. This is a bug and will be fixed in the update after the jam.

In the build menu :

-Left click to validate

- Right click to cancel

- Scroll wheel to rotate

Additional gameplay informations :

Please note that due to poor optimization, the game starts to lag heavily after 1k blocks or so. Depending on your system you might be able to get to 1.000.000 but this might be hard without a really powerfull station. This will be fixed during the first update after the jam. Thank you for your understanding ! I hope you'll like the concept :)

It's not clear in the game for now, but factories actualy absorb blocks from their sides and release them from their main output. Alowing for more complex setups.

You can see some examples in the game screenshot :)
